Notice for change in library lending policy
We have initiated new lending procedures at our Information and Culture Centre (“library”), effective as of October 1, 2010.
- We ask users to present a library card when borrowing library items. - Users must complete and sign an application form to receive a card. Applicants 16 and older should obtain their own cards. Children 15 years old and younger need to be accompanied by a parent to sign the application form. - In order to obtain a library card, the person must present a photo identification card and proof of current mailing address, such as a utility bill or bank statement. If the person applying for a library card does not have proof of current address, a library card will be mailed to the users. The person with mailed library card can borrow items from the library at his/her next visit. - Only one library card is issued. - Library cards cannot be lent or borrowed. - If you forget to bring your library card, you are not allowed to borrow items from the library. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our new library lending policy, please contact us at (613) 241-8541.
