The 21st Japanese Language Speech Contest in Ottawa

This year approximately 120 people (including 35 participants) attended the 21st Japanese Language Speech Contest in Ottawa. This is a large increase over last year's attendance of 90 people. The Embassy of Japan was fortunate to host such ambitious and well-spoken students.
The sponsors this year were The Japan Foundation, Mitsui Canada, Boko Bakery, Carleton Univ., Festival Japan, Ichibei, and Suisha Gardens. 

The results are as follows: 

High School:

Beginner:

Intermediate:

Advanced:

1st prize winners of the advanced, intermediate, and beginner categories are going to participate in the National Japanese Language Speech Contest at York University on March 28, 2010.
