Imagine Japan Art Contest

 

Draw a picture of how you imagine Japan for a chance to have your art displayed at the Ottawa Welcomes the World Japan Festival!

The winning entries will be displayed at the Japan Festival on October 15th 2017 at the Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park.

There will also be 4 Grand Prize Winners and 4 Public’s Choice Winners, 1 of each in each category. The Grand Prize Winners will be chosen by Ambassador Monji of Japan and the Public Choice Winners will be voted on by the public on the day of the Japan Festival.

Categories

  • Grades 1 and 2
  • Grades 3, 4 and 5
  • Grades 6, 7, 8
  • Grades 9, 10, 11 and 12

How to enter

  • Draw a picture with the theme ‘Imagine Japan’. You can use pencils, pens, paints, or anything you like. Entries must be 45cm x 30cm or less.
  • Fill out the attached application form and stick it to the back of your submission with tape or glue.
  • Mail or hand deliver your submission to:

  • October 2nd, 2017 is the deadline for submissions.

Additional Information

  • This contest is open to all children in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, Grades 1 through 12 (including homeschooled children).
  • We regret that we cannot return any submitted artwork.
  • Submissions can be hand delivered to the Embassy’s Information and Culture Centre, 9:00am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4:45pm, Monday to Friday.
