Temporary suspension of the visa exemption agreement for Mexican citizens
In light of the recent outbreak of swine influenza in Mexico, the Government of Japan has temporarily suspended the visa exemption agreement for Mexican citizens.
It is hence necessary for all Mexican citizens planning to enter Japan for a stay less than 6 months for purposes such as tourism, visiting friends/relatives, business liaison, attending conference and other similar activities to obtain a Temporary Visitor visa prior to departure.
