Temporary Visa

 

This is not required if you are a citizen of one of the countries which has a visa exemption arrangement with Japan.  Click here for a list.

(For sightseeing; visiting relatives, friends or acquaintance; attending conferences; participating in business meetings or atheletic tournaments and so on.)

 

Requirements:

  1. Valid passport
  2. An application form
  3. One passport size photo
  4. Canadian Immigration document
  5. A schedule of what you are planning to do in Japan (dates and places)
    **If you are on a business trip, an itinerary from your company or from the Japanese organization inviting you.
  6. A bank statement ( to prove your financial stability)
    ** If you are on a business trip, a letter from your company stating all expenses in Japan are covered by your employer.
  7. Return airline ticket or flight itinerary provided by an airline company or travel agency (Please note we are not responsible for tickets which are unusable due to delay or denial of visa).
  8. Fee: $35.00, $10.00 (Indian passport), $58.00 (Iranian passport).
  9. *A Guarantor letter from an acquaintance in Japan if you don't have a work permit or permanent status in Japan. There is a sample letter (English) or (Japanese) the Embassy can provide.
