Ambassador Yamanouchi’s business trip to Vancouver and Calgary

From June 26 to June 30, Ambassador Yamanouchi had a business trip to Vancouver and Calgary.

In Vancouver, Ambassador Yamanouchi discussed Japan-Canada relations with Japanese companies as well as the Canada-Japan Society of British Columbia (CJSBC). Ambassador Yamanouchi also visited the former Japanese neighborhood including the Vancouver Japanese Language School and Japanese Hall, and Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre in Burnaby, where Ambassador Yamanouchi was briefed on the history of Japanese immigration and the center’s activities.

In Calgary, Ambassador Yamanouchi had a talk with the Japanese companies, LNG Canada, Calgary Economic Development and West Canada Foundation on bilateral economic relations. Ambassador Yamanouchi also had a meeting with friends of Japan in Alberta and discussed a variety of issues including cultural and academic exchanges.
