Ambassador Yamanouchi's Official Visit to the Province of Manitoba

Ambassador Kanji YAMANOUCHI paid an official visit to Manitoba from September 7 to September 9. This was second official visit to a province since his arrival in Ottawa in May 2022 and followed his visit to Saskatchewan in August 2022.
 
On September 8, Ambassador Yamanouchi met with the Honourable Heather Stefanson, Premier of Manitoba, the Honourable Janice Filmon, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, the Honourable Derek Johnson, Minister of Agriculture, and His Worship Brian Bowman, Mayor of Winnipeg. During these meetings, Ambassador Yamanouchi exchanged views on the further promotion of trade between Japan and Manitoba and youth exchanges.
 
On September 7, Ambassador Yamanouchi met with Mr. Jamie Brown, Director of Business Council of Manitoba, and on September 8, he met with members of Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba (JCAM). He had excellent discussions with them.
 
On September 8, Ambassador Yamanouchi traveled to Neepawa in the western part of the province to visit a HyLife plant. HyLife is a pork production and marketing company.
