Ambassador Yamanouchi's Official Visit to the Province of Ontario

Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi paid an official visit to Ontario on May 24-25.
In Toronto, Ambassador Yamanouchi met with the Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Ted Arnott, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, and the Honourable Kinga Surma, Minister of Infrastructure. During these meetings, Ambassador Yamanouchi exchanged views on increasing collaboration between Japan and Ontario in the areas of manufacturing, high-tech such as AI, and transportation infrastructure.
At the University of Waterloo’s Balsillie School of International Affairs, with the cooperation of Professor David Welch, the Ambassador gave a follow-up lecture about the G7 Hiroshima Summit and exchanged views with faculty members and students.
