Canada's Women's Soccer National Team: Tokyo 2020 Olympic Gold Medal Winning Celebration Match

On October 23, Canada's women's national team who won the gold medal in women's soccer at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and New Zealand's national team held a celebration match in Ottawa (TD Place).
On the occasion of the match, Ambassador Kawamura sent a video message congratulating the Canadian team for winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Games, praising the efforts of athletes, and wishing for further expansion of sports exchanges. The video message was introduced in front of a total of 16,386 spectators as well as the players of the two countries, and it was welcomed by applause.
At the celebration match, Canadian players marched with their gold medals around their necks, and the result was a 5-1 victory for the Canadian team which included a goal by Christine Sinclair, captain of the Canadian team.
