On November 8, 2024, Ambassador YAMANOUCHI Kanji conferred the Foreign Minister’s Commendation upon Mr. Iain Stewart, former President of the National Research Council Canada (NRC).

At the ceremony, Ambassador YAMANOUCHI delivered remarks and again paid tribute to Mr. Stewart’s strong leadership in advancing Japan-Canada science and technology (S&T) cooperation during his tenure as the President of the NRC.
