2024/3/21
On March 21, 12 students from the University of Ottawa’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) visited the Embassy of Japan to deepen their knowledge about Japan’s foreign policy and Japan-Canada relations.
The Deputy Head of Mission, Minister FURUYA Tokuro, gave a presentation about Japan’s foreign policy, Japan-Canada relations, and his work as a diplomat in Canada. Minister Furuya’s presentation was followed by a lively discussion, during which students asked questions about Japan’s foreign policy and the diplomatic career.
One of the Embassy staff members explained the Embassy’s cultural activities and various events and provided information about the different exchange programs offered by the Japanese government, including the JET Programme and MEXT Scholarships.
