“Japan Food Night” Reception

On December 13, Ambassador Kanji Yamanouchi hosted “Japan Food Night” reception at his official residence to promote Iwate Prefecture's food products on the occasion of the visit to Ottawa by Mr. Takuya Tasso, Governor of Iwate Prefecture, inviting members of the Canada-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Group, Government of Canada, chefs of famous restaurants of Ottawa, and others.
At the reception, Ambassador Yamanouchi delivered remarks, followed by speeches by the Honorable Mona Fortier, President of the Treasury Board and Governor Tasso.
In a friendly atmosphere, attendees enjoyed sukiyaki and meat sushi made with Iwate beef, Iwate-grown rice balls, and Iwate-grown apples, and deepened their friendship.
