Minister Furuya's business trip to Manitoba

The Deputy Head of Mission, Minister FURUYA Tokuro, went on a business trip to Manitoba, from September 19 to 22. Min. Furuya exchanged views with the Minister of Labour and Immigration, the Minister of Advanced Education and Training of the Government of Manitoba, and members of the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba (JCAM) and others. Min. Furuya delivered opening remarks at the Japan-Canada symposium on immigration issues in rural areas. Min. Furuya also visited Winkler, a small remote city that accepts many immigrants, with participants of the Japan-Canada symposium to exchange views with members of a settlement service provider.
