Transit Visa

For travelers who are stopping over in Japan en route to another country due to flight schedules.

  • Nationals of visa-exempt countries/regions (including Canadians) do not need a transit visa. For others, basically, those who pass through immigration on their way to a third country need a transit visa. Those who do not pass through immigration do not need a visa.
