Concert Co-hosted with Canadian Music Competition

On March 8th, the Embassy of Japan, in collaboration with the Canadian Music Competition, held a concert at the Ambassador’s residence featuring young musicians.

Soprano singer, Ms. Ania Hejna (accompanied on the piano by Mr. Jonathan Bondoc), and two pianists, Mr. Emil Azuma-Prikryl and Mr. Suren Barry, performed classical music.

In his welcome remarks, Ambassador Ishikawa said that the arts fly beyond national borders but they need support to flourish, and that this concert was aimed at fostering young musicians.

People who gathered to support musical activities among young people appreciated these talented young musicians’ energetic and accomplished performances and offered words of encouragement to the artists while wishing them continued success.
