GSPIA Luncheon-seminar at the University of Ottawa

 

On December 1st, Ambassador Monji took part in a GSPIA Luncheon-seminar organized by the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, delivering a lecture on the Japan-Canada relationship.

 

In his remarks, Ambassador Monji touched on economy, security and culture, the three principal pillars of Japan’s bilateral relations with Canada, emphasizing opportunities to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries. Following the lecture, there was question-answer session moderated by Mr. Jeffrey Simpson, National Affairs Columnist with the Globe and Mail which lead to a wide-ranging discussion on economic, energy and security policy, territorial issues, refugee and immigrant policy and women's participation in society.

 

Among the participants, there were also students who wiil be visiting Japan from December 10th as part of the Kakehashi Program.
