Chef Fujii showcases Japanese cuisine at International Food Fair 2016

 

On November 17th 2016, Mr. Ichiro Fujii, Ambassador Monji’s official Executive Chef, along with his wife, prepared and offered sushi at the International Food Fair 2016, which was held at Global Affairs Canada.

 This workplace charitable campaign takes place annually and is hosted by Global Affairs Canada. At this event, Embassies and High Commissions based in Ottawa share their national cuisine. About 400 participants this year, mainly senior managers and staff of Global Affairs Canada attended the event, which was filled with a lively atmosphere.

 This event was a good opportunity to promote Japanese cuisine widely to Canadian government officials, and the sushi that Chef Fujii prepared for this occasion was very much appreciated by participants.
