25th Anniversary of Canada-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation Event

Lecture by Dr. Mamoru Mohri, Astronaut and Chief Executive Director of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.

On September 21, the Embassy of Japan was pleased to co-host with the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, an event mainly for Grade 6 to 9 students presented by distinguished Japanese astronaut, Dr. Mamoru Mohri, Chief Executive Director of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan).

With an audience of approximately 90 guests, Dr. Mohri shared his experiences in space particularly the science experiments he conducted during his two missions in Space Shuttle Endeavour, including the wonders of living in space.  During the lecture Dr. Mohri had an interactive dialogue with students about space and it was a great opportunity for them to learn about space and its fascinations.

This event was conducted thanks to the cooperation of Dr. Mohri, Miraikan, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and many supporters as a part of the commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of Canada-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation.
