Lecture by Professor Akira Kohsaka of Kwansei Gakuin University

 

On November 2 at Carleton University, the Embassy of Japan and Carleton University co-hosted a lecture delivered by Professor Akira Kohsaka of the School of International Studies at Kwansei Gakuin University, titled “The Global Financial Crisis and Financial Linkages in the Asia-Pacific Region”.

 

In his talk, Professor Akira Kohsaka spoke about financial globalization and the change of financial flows in the East Asian region as well as the influence of the economic crisis on financial markets through analysis of various economic indexes and comparison studies between regions.

 

There were more than 100 people in attendance such as students, professors, researchers, civil servants, diplomats, and financial workers who listened intently to the lecture which was followed by a lively question and answer session.
