Mr. Kazuyuki Hamada, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Receives a Courtesy Call from
MONKEY MAJIK - KIZUNA Ambassadors (Ambassadors of RESILIENCE)
1. On Tuesday, January 31 from 4 pm for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. Kazuyuki Hamada, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs received a courtesy call from MONKEY MAJIK, a hybrid band consisting of Japanese and Canadians, that has been appointed as KIZUNA Ambassadors (Ambassadors of RESILIENCE) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan to support Japan’s recovery from the devastating damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
2. As Ambassadors of RESILIENCE, MONKEY MAJIK will be performing free concerts in two Canadian cities, Toronto and Ottawa, to express their sincere gratitude for all the support received from around the world after the Great East Japan Earthquake as well as to show the recovery and reconstruction efforts towards “Vibrant Japan”.
3. Mr. Hamada expressed his hope that MONKEY MAJIK will share the experience they gained at the affected areas and will strengthen ties between Japan and the rest of the world through music as KIZUNA Ambassadors (Ambassadors of RESILIENCE).
