Ground breaking ceremony of Canon Canada’s new headquarters
On May 6th, Ambassador Okuda attended the official ground breaking ceremony of Canon Canada’s new headquarters in Brampton, Ontario with Toronto Consul General of Japan Eiji Yamamoto. Canon Canada President & CEO Ted Egawa , Brampton Mayor Susan Fennell and Brampton City Councillor John Hutton also participated in the event.
In his remarks, Ambassador Okuda noted that Canon Canada employs more than a thousand people across Canada and is a significant contributor to the growing Canada-Japan economic partnership. He concluded that he has no doubt that this project represents a very positive step in furthering the bilateral relationship.
After speeches by Mr. Egawa and Mayor Fennell, a ground-breaking ceremony took place. |
