Ambassador Ishikawa makes a courtesy call to the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Former Prime Minister

 

Ambassador Ishikawa made a courtesy call on the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney September 13th in Montreal. The two exchanged views related to the Canada-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement. They also discussed the apology and compensation extended by the Government of Canada to Japanese residents displaced during the Second World War during Mr. Mulroney’s tenure as Prime Minister.

 

To commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Canada-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation, distinguished Japanese astronaut Dr. Mamoru Mohri, currently the Chief Executive Director of the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Tokyo, will visit Canada in September 2011. He will deliver a lecture on September 21st at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum and on September 22nd at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
