2014 Government scholarship recipient orientation

On March 14, an orientation for a 2014 Japanese government scholarship recipient from Ottawa was held at the Embassy of Japan in Canada to provide information on study and life in Japan.

Every year, the government of Japan provides scholarship for several Canadian students who wish to study in Japan based on the recommendation from the Embassy or the Consulates.

Before the orientation, Mr. Stanko Karadeglija (Carlton University, Political Science), the scholarship recipient this year, made a courtesy visit to Ambassador Okuda. Ambassador Okuda gave some words of encouragement to the recipient. After the courtesy visit, the recipient got a briefing regarding immigration process and study and life in Japan from an Embassy officer.

Selection process for the government scholarship for next year is shown here.
