Virtual School Visit Program (Oct 20)

2021/10/20
On October 20, the Embassy of Japan hosted a virtual introductory lesson on Japan as part of its online School Visit Program. Approximately 34 grade 9 - 12 students enrolled in the International Certificate Program at the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, and 2 staff members of the Embassy of Japan, participated in the interactive presentation. Students learned about many aspects of Japan, including its geography, politics, food, and festivals. At the end there was also a lively Q&A with the students.

The Embassy of Japan’s School Visit Program operates throughout the year and provides many Ottawa and Gatineau students the opportunity to learn about different topics related to Japan in either English or French. This program is usually offered in-person either at the Embassy of Japan or in classroom. However, for measures for COVID-19, it has been offered virtually via Zoom – you can find details of the program here.
