2017 CDA and CDA Institute Ottawa Conference on Security and Defence
On February 16th and 17th, Ambassador Monji participated in the Ottawa Conference on Security and Defence by the Conference of Defence Associations (CDA) and CDA Institute.
Distinguished speakers, including Canadian Armed Forces leaders such as General Jonathan Vance, Chief of the Defence Staff, and General Lori Robinson, Commander NORAD & U.S. Northern Command, as well as academic leaders participated in the conference and discussed actively Canadian defence policy, Canada-U.S. Relations under the new administration of the U.S. and more.
Ambassador Monji gave remarks on the importance of the security cooperation between Japan and Canada in the Asia and Pacific region as the cooperation between the two countries further deepens in a range of areas, and explained the results of the Japan-U.S. Summit Meeting on February 10th.
