Canada-Japan financial consultations occur every 18 to 24 months in Ottawa or Tokyo and allow for a broad discussion of current macroeconomic, financial sector and international financial issues. Meetings have proven to be a worthwhile means of keeping abreast of developments in our respective economies and providing a forum to discuss important bilateral financial sector issues, including financial services trade irritants.
