Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan’s Visit to Ottawa
From May 1 to 3, Tadamori Oshima, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, visited Canada.
During the visit, Speaker Oshima met Speaker of the House Geoffrey Regan, Speaker of the Senate George J. Furey, Co-chairs Senator Paul J. Massicotte and MP Terry Sheehan, as well as other members, of the Canada-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Group, as well as attending Question Period in the House of Commons.
Speaker Oshima and his party also toured Libraries and Achieves Canada.
Currently, House Speaker Regan is planning to attend the September G7 Speakers meeting which Speaker Oshima will be hosting.
