Book-Prize Ceremony and End-Of-Year Reception at University of Ottawa
On April 13th, 2016, Ambassador and Mrs. Monji attended the book-prize ceremony and end-of-year reception held at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, University of Ottawa.
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures offers a wide range of language courses including a Japanese language program. This annual event celebrates the achievements and hard work of students and books are presented by distinguished members of the diplomatic community in Ottawa for outstanding performances in the study of 12 languages and regional studies.
Ms. Fan Lin, Asian Studies Coordinator announced three Japanese language award recipients and Ambassador Monji presented the book prizes to Mr. Warren Wu, Ms. Shizhe Liu, and Ms. Jasmine Massé for their excellent achievement. There are approximately 140 students learning Japanese language this semester (Winter 2016).
