JET Farewell Reception

On Friday, July 29, Ambassador and Mrs. Monji hosted a farewell reception for this year’s outgoing JETs from Ottawa.  Speeches were given by the ambassador, a departing JET representative, and the president of JETAA Ottawa.  A toast was led by councilor Futagi.  Approximately two hundred JETs departed Canada to Japan, of which 13 were from Ottawa, on July 30st, 2016.  This year is the 30th anniversary of the start of the JET Programme.
