Kyoto Women’s University Students Visit Ottawa
On August 22, 2016, six students from Japan’s Kyoto Women’s University visited the Embassy of Japan in Ottawa to learn about the difference between Japan as an ethnically homogenous nation and Canada as a multicultural and multiethnic country.
Counsellor Takashi Futagi, Director of the Information and Culture Centre of the Embassy of Japan, gave a lecture to the students covering various topics including the role of Japanese diplomatic missions, the history of Canada and its people, Japanese-Canadians, and the future prospects for Canada-Japan relations.
